Employee Financial Wellness
Through countless trainings, I've helped people jumpstart their financial lives. Our workshops have an average Net Promoter Score of 9.2 out of 10, with employees literally raving about the content and asking when the next one will be. I particularly enjoy how interactive they always turn out. Employees work in small groups, get to know their colleagues from other teams, and build camaraderie during the event. I truly love seeing folks leave excited to take control of their financial lives and spread this information to their coworkers, family, and friends. I've been told that my energy for personal finance is quite contagious and attendees often remark how much fun they had at the training.
We've conducted workshops for companies across many industries, including financial services. The information applies to people of all ages, functions, and seniority. Attendees often remark that they wished they learned this in high school, college, or while onboarding. Your employees will leave with an actionable to-do list and higher clarity on your company's benefits.
Financial Wellness is a rapidly growing space; in fact, 84% of employees want more financial education from their employers. (1) Fireside Finances hosts the workshops virtually via Zoom / Hangouts / Teams, or we can come on-site and deliver the workshop in-person. We'll cover topics such as 401(k) benefits and how to maximize the company match, profit sharing, FSA/HSA contributions, high-yield savings accounts, credit scores, Roth vs. Traditional investing, and more. You ask for it, and we'll work with HR, People Ops, or your senior managers to set it up. Not only will your employees thank you for setting up the training, it will also reduce the amount of inbound financial questions to HR... "How does our 401(k) match work again? What's the difference between Roth and Traditional?" The training is not only a win for your employees, but also for HR! |

MBA Programs:
During my time at U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business, I learned that full-time MBA students are in unique financial situations. I hosted several "Investing for MBA Students" which were very well received. I'll come in to your MBA program and review how to balance students loans with investing, which investments are best used to pay for tuition, and more intricate strategies such as tax-gain-harvesting. Can be funded by the students or by the MBA program office.

Military Audiences:
As a military Veteran and current Reservist, I've seen the opportunities (and common pitfalls) for military members when it comes to investing. I've hosted many workshops to discuss TSP contributions, tax-advantages of your income, Post 9/11 GI-Bill benefits and transferability, and much more. I am available as a civilian instructor or Reservist.
